Aspire to one shot kills.

The capacity to deliver (astutely and accurately) on the first attempt.

This generally applies to arguments.

Making good ones means you know a lot. Only way to do that,

is to consume a lot. It takes time and quiet repetition. It’s important;

the capacity to make good arguments. Exerting your free will means

to make good arguments.

To be able to make it well on the first try is a requirement.

It’s like ammunition.

Or insurance. You need it when you need it. Immediately.

You can’t have lost your cool in the interim. You cannot have thought of it on the drive home.

You need it on the spot. You need it when you need it.

You can hone the skill.

You don’t have to get it right every time. You don’t even have to expect it to go wrong every time.

Getting to try is the blessing; the journey is the gift.
